Eesti Energia, internationally known as Enefit, is the world leader oil shale to energy company. Our operational production facilities are in Estonia and we sell our energy to the Baltic and Nordic markets. Technology development centre is in Germany and we have oil shale development projects in the USA and Jordan.

Sandor Liive has been Chairman of the Management Board of Eesti Energia AS since December 2005. From 1998 he acted as CFO of the Company. He is actively involved in the development of oil shale industry, including start-ups in US and Jordan.

Before joining Tallinna Sadam AS, Sandor Liive had five years experience in finance with various private enterprises. These include Kinnisvarabüroo Uus Maa, a real estate start up now one of the best known names in real estate brokerage; Estonia’s first fund management company Fondijuhtide AS which actively managed privatisation funds; the Singapore based Tolaram Group, one of the largest investors in Estonia, to whom he was an advisor; and Tallinna Sadam, one of the fastest growing seaports in the Baltic Sea region, whom he also advised.

Mr. Liive is Chairman of the Board of the Estonian National Committee of the World Energy Council and a Member of the Board of Directors of EURELECTRIC. He is also a Member of the Council of the Estonian Employers Confederation, President of the Estonian Ski Federation since 2011 and has been a Member of the Executive Committee of the Estonian Olympic Committee since 2012.

Sandor Liive has a Masters degree in economics from the Tallinn University of Technology and he has pursued further studies in Stanford Graduate School of Business, INSEAD and IMD.
