Fernando Poma became Managing Director of Real Hotels and Resorts in the year 2000 and joined a company with 5 hotels. Today, Real Hotels and Resorts owns and operates 19 properties in the USA, Central America, Dominican Republic and Colombia and also has 8 franchised hotels.

Real Hotels and Resorts operates with brands of 3 important hotel companies: InterContinental Hotels Group, Marriott International and Choice Hotels International.

The Company has exclusivity for the InterContinental brand for Central America, as well as the Choice Hotels master franchise for Central America, Panama, Dominican Republic and Colombia.

Prior to joining to Real, Fernando was the assistant to Managing Director of Choice Hotels Europe that had more than 300 properties through out different European countries. Following that, he worked as planning analyst for the Westmont Hospitality Group.

Fernando graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University and got a Master of Business Administration at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania

He is member of the Board of Directors of all the Divisions of Grupo Poma.
