Karl Williamson is the coordinator of the Product Design program at UFMdesign, a mentor for the entrepreneurial bootcamp Heurística at UFM and the technical director of Megaproyectos de Innovación at UVG. He holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and a MFA in Design for Emerging Technologies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has developed “Smart City” concepts for IBM and educational products for Samsung. He also maintains an art and design practice creating designed objects that critically explore our relationship to technology, craft, and design. He was ‘imported’ in 2012 by his Guatemalan wife.
