Prior to chairing the Jordan Green Building Council, Mohammad Asfour was the Environment, Water and Energy Sector Lead at the USAID Jordan Economic Development Program (SABEQ), an Adviser to the Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology and a Founder & Director of Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship. Additionally, he worked on conceptualizing and developing El Hassan Science City. He had also served at the Jordan Investment Board and worked as a consultant for the UNDP, UNIDO, and USAID’s AMIR Program. He served as a regional advisor to OECD’s MENA Investment Program, chaired UNEP – SBCI’s Advocacy Committee and is currently a founding board member at Al Shajarah NGO. Mohammad has continuously maintained a presence in the business world through a fourth generation diversified family business.
