Shaun Bamforth
Founder

Shaun earned his bachelor of science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and went on to work as project manager for a civil & environmental engineering consulting group in South Florida for an eight year period. During this time Shaun also founded Broward Lacrosse Advantage (BLA), a lacrosse education company that he bootstrapped in 2010 with an initial investment of only $175. Today BLA is valued at roughly 1 million dollars and continues to grow.

This experience opened Shaun’s eyes to the world of entrepreneurship and because he had little academic training in this field he decided to go back to school, earning a Masters of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management. After graduating, Mr. Bamforth joined Loci Control’s as director of business development and has been helping to commercialize Loci’s Landfill Gas Optimization Service.

Shaun is also founder of two separate non-profit organizations, CameroonONE and The Davie Youth Lacrosse Foundation. Both organization are still in operation today and continue to provide services to hundreds of children in both America and Cameroon. Last but not least, Shaun is a former lead organizer of the MIT GSW (2013 in Estonia) as is the founder of Loci Controls, Melinda Sims (2012 in Turkey).
